DLL Depot

About DLL Depot

DLL Depot is an independent reference project about Windows dynamic-link libraries. It is early, it is written by one person, and it says so.

Why it exists

The search results for DLL questions are dominated by pages offering files. A user with a broken program is pushed toward the one action that is both unsafe and ineffective. There is room for a site that explains the mechanism instead and lets the correct fix follow from it.

What state it is in

The page structure is settled and the reference pages are being written. Pages that are outlines are labelled as outlines. No tool is built yet.

Who runs this

IT Consulting Engelmann — a one-person software consultancy in Germany, run by Martin Engelmann. It builds and operates a small portfolio of independent web tools; this domain is one of them.

How this site is built

Hand-written static HTML generated from a small declared configuration. No framework, no build pipeline, no JavaScript, no cookies, no analytics, no third-party requests of any kind. It is deliberately the cheapest thing that can be a real website.
